Delete your TicPop account and data
Last updated: May 20, 2026
This page lets you request the deletion of your TicPop account and all associated data without reinstalling the app. This is a requirement of the Google Play Store and good privacy practice for all users.
What gets deleted
When you submit a deletion request, we remove:
- Your parent account (email, password hash)
- All child profiles you created (nicknames and chosen preset avatars)
- All routine, task, reward, certificate, and star history for your family
- Your saved preferences and settings
- Our record of your subscription status (a pseudonymous internal identifier held via RevenueCat)
- Crash and diagnostic data are not collected or sent off your device, so there is nothing to delete at any crash-reporting provider — TicPop does not use one
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Important — deleting your data does not cancel your subscription. Your subscription is billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us, so deleting your TicPop account cannot stop that billing on your behalf. If you want to stop being charged, you must also cancel the subscription with Apple or Google — see "If you only want to cancel your subscription" below.
What we keep (for legal reasons only)
As required by US law, we retain a small amount of data in a minimized form:
- Tax and payment records — for up to 7 years (US tax and fraud-prevention law). This is kept in accounting systems separate from the app; it does not include your app content.
- Security/audit logs — in minimized form, for up to 12 months, to protect against fraud and meet legal obligations.
- Legal hold records — if applicable (e.g., subject to an active court order).
Everything else is purged.
How long does deletion take?
- Your account becomes inaccessible immediately when the deletion request is verified.
- All of your data is purged within 30 days (this time allows us to remove it from backups).
- Confirmation email is sent to you once deletion is complete.
How to request deletion
There are two ways. Pick whichever is easiest for you.
Option 1 — From inside the TicPop app
- Open TicPop on your phone or tablet.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm with your account password — for your security, deleting an account requires your password, not just your PIN.
- That's it — deletion begins immediately.
Option 2 — By email
Email privacy@ticpop.app from the email address on your TicPop account. In the message, include:
- The words "Delete my account" in the subject line.
- The email address on your account (so we can match it).
- (Optional) The reason you're leaving.
We'll confirm and process within 48 hours.
Parents requesting deletion for a child
If the child is yours and you are the account holder: deletion removes the child profile and all of their data. Use any of the options above.
If you are a parent whose child used TicPop without your knowledge or consent (for example, the account was created by another parent, a relative, or someone without your authority as guardian):
- Email privacy@ticpop.app with the subject "Parental request for child data deletion".
- Include the child's nickname and any details you can provide to help us locate the account.
- We will respond within 10 business days.
If you only want to delete one child profile, not the whole account
You can do this from inside the app:
- Settings → Manage Children → Select child → Delete profile.
This removes just that child's profile and data, without affecting your account or any other child profiles. The email method above will delete the entire account.
If you only want to cancel your subscription (not delete your data)
Cancelling your subscription and deleting your data are separate:
- If you subscribed via the App Store: open the App Store → tap your avatar → Subscriptions → TicPop → Cancel.
- If you subscribed via Google Play: open Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → TicPop → Cancel.
TicPop subscriptions are only sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. We do not offer web checkout.
Cancelling means your subscription stops renewing; your account and data remain unless you request deletion.
