Common questions

I forgot my parent PIN

The parent PIN protects the settings area so kids can't change routines or rewards by accident. If you forget it:

  1. Open TicPop and tap the parent (lock) icon.
  2. Tap "Forgot PIN?" on the PIN screen.
  3. You'll be asked to sign in again with your TicPop account password. Once you do, you can set a new PIN.

If you also forgot your account password, tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen — we'll email a reset link to the address on your account.

How do I link my kid's tablet to my account?

TicPop lets your kid use the app on their own tablet while you stay in control from your phone. To pair a kid device:

  1. On your parent device, go to Settings → Link Kid's Device.
  2. You'll see a 6-character code.
  3. On the kid's tablet, install TicPop and enter the code when prompted.
  4. The code expires after 10 minutes for security. If yours expires, just generate a new one.

How do I add a second parent?

If you and a co-parent both want access to the same family, you can invite them from inside the app:

  1. From your parent dashboard, tap "Invite another parent".
  2. Share the 6-character code with the other parent.
  3. They install TicPop, create their own sign-in, and enter the code when prompted.
  4. Parent-invite codes are valid for 60 minutes.

Inviting a second parent is a paid feature — it's not available during the free trial.

How do I cancel my subscription?

TicPop subscriptions are sold only through the Apple App Store and Google Play. We don't bill you directly, so cancellation is done in the store you subscribed through:

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

How do I get a refund?

Because subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, refunds are handled by them too:

Apple and Google decide refund eligibility — we don't have access to that decision. If you're stuck, email support@ticpop.app and we'll help where we can.

I'm having trouble signing in

A few things to try, in order:

  1. Confirm you're using the same email address you signed up with.
  2. Tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen and follow the reset link in your email (check Spam if you don't see it within a few minutes).
  3. If you still can't get in, email support@ticpop.app from the email on the account and we'll help recover it.

The app is crashing or behaving oddly

First-line steps that fix most problems:

  1. Force-quit TicPop and reopen it.
  2. Check that you're on the latest version (App Store or Play Store → TicPop → Update).
  3. Restart the device.

If the problem keeps happening, email support@ticpop.app with:

If you have crash reporting turned on (Settings → Privacy → Send crash reports), we may already have the error on file — including a recent timestamp in your email helps us match it.

Delete my account or a child profile

To delete your whole account, open the app and go to Settings → Delete Account (you'll be asked to confirm — this can't be undone). For full instructions, including how to delete only one child profile or how to email us a deletion request instead, see Delete my data.

I have feedback or a feature request

We love hearing from parents. Email support@ticpop.app with subject "Feedback" or "Feature request" — we read everything.
